Despite the misconceptions surrounding paraffin wax, studies have shown that it is just as safe as other common waxes, such as soy and beeswax. In fact, a study comparing the emissions of toxins from soy, beeswax, and paraffin candles found that all three types of candles emitted the same amount of toxins, with the soy candle actually producing the "dirtiest" burn.
